The Hiway Theatre is an historic, one-screen, first-run movie theater located in the heart of Jenkintown, PA and is also a 501(c)3 non profit organization. Our mission is to preserve the historic Hiway Theatre and keep a local tradition alive for people passionate about film and the cinematic experience. Tracing our history back to 1913, the Hiway is unique among one-screen theaters as a member-supported, non profit, movie house dedicated to first-run film programming.You do not have to be a member to attend our shows and special programs. However, your tax-deductible support, in the form of donations and memberships, helps us to continue the programs you enjoy.
