The Hiway Theatre is a 501 (c) 3 tax-exempt non-profit organization. Being
non-profit allows us to accept charitable contributions. Contributed revenue
accounts for nearly 30% of our annual operating budget and enables us to not
only show first run films but also host film series and provide unique
programs such as our Monthly Film Discussion and Classic Film Series.

Membership support is the main source of contributed revenue that keeps the
Hiway operating and able to fulfill its mission to preserve the historic Hiway Theatre and keep a local tradition alive for people passionate about film and the cinematic experience.
